Both newcomers did a fabulous job, especially Ranbir Kapoor. You have to take this film as an art, it's the story someone else is telling, it doesn't mean that it has to be "typical" India, with streets, cars, etc. IT a dream sequence that is in blue, the somber mood keeps the anticipation of the hearts desires.
