Sure, the Daredevils may have won against the Rajasthan Royals, but Akshay Kumar gave the crowd something else to talk about. Here’s more from MSN:

“Akshay flung in air over 70 meters from the ground and slid on a wire from one end of the stadium to the other, watched by a spell-bound audience.

For a moment it looked as if a brilliant trapeze artist was performing. The 40-year-old fitness freak climbed on to a trolley and then leapt in the air on the specially laid wire for the stunt. He turned upside down as he tried to reach the other end of the stage, crossing flames.

But with just a few metres left to cross the flames, the wires loosened up and he had to come down to the ground. The Delhi-born star then did a lap of the stadium with cheer leaders following him.

Judging by the pictures, it looks like Akshay had a ball :) He must have really impressed his lady who watched in awe from the crowd.

Gone are the days when the Indian Premiere League was still known as a cricket tournament. If you’re one of those people who is all about the game and don’t like the fact that it’s now being taken over Bollywood, close your eyes or look away now!

Tashan lead actors Anil, Kareena & Saif Ali Khan showed up at Wankhede Stadium, Sunday evening, April 20, to cheer on the  ‘Mumbai Indians’ except there wasn’t so much cheering as promoting their film.

Apparently Reliance Industries, which owns the Mumbai IPL team, have tied up with Tashan producers, to promote their team while Tashan is looking for a little free publicity of their own!

Unlike the rest of the Tashan crew, Akshay Kumar couldn’t be bothered about being paraded around the stadium like a D-Lister. No, he has bigger things on his plate like being the brand ambassador of Delhi Daredevils! More of his pictures to come.

We may not have the nicest of things to say about Kareena Kapoor, but never let it be said that Ballz doesn’t know how to pay a compliment when its due, and Bebo definitely looks hot in these promos for Tashan. It’s amazing what a little make-up and airbrushing can do, eh!

Sports fans – or Akshay Kumar fans, for that matter – may want to know that the actor was on Monday unveiled as the brand ambassador of the Indian Premier League’s ‘Delhi Daredevils’ team.

“I would like to thank the GMR Group (team owners) for choosing me as the first fan of Delhi Daredevils. I hope I become a lucky mascot for the team,” he said with his trademark mischievous smile.

Akshay is the latest Bollywood star to be associated with the IPL after Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla, owners of Kolkata Knight Riders and Preity Zinta, who bought a stake in the Mohali team along with Ness Wadia.

March 23, 08 by Ballz Bollywood!

In an extremely rare interview, silver screen beauty Dimple Kapadia talks about her life today and also about her beloved son-in-law – even though interviews don’t seem to be one of her favourite things.

Dimple on upcoming projects: “There’s Phir Kabhi with Mithun Chakraborty which is complete. I’m also doing Milo Toh Sahi by Kabir Sadanand, the casting for which is still on. Then there’s Zoya Akhtar’s directorial venture, in which her brother Farhan Akhtar’s playing the male lead. It’s a funny take on the Bombay film industry.”

Dimple on there not being enough movie roles for her: “I’m doing one or two films a year. But I’m quite happy with my pace of work. At this age, one doesn’t really get good offers. Roles are mostly written for the new generation. But I consider myself lucky to have got roles in films like Being Cyrus and Dil Chahta Hai . Doing only a few films leaves me time to do a lot of other things.”

Dimple on Akshay Kumar’s success: “My chest swells with pride whenever his name is mentioned. I feel very happy for him and am extremely proud of him. But it’s not just because he’s my son-in-law. I have always believed in him and God has been kind to him. He’s very hard-working and disciplined.”

Dimple on being called beautiful at 50: “People say I’m stunning, and it becomes true. But I don’t do anything.”
